Academia & Research

I have been actively engaged in academic teaching and research for several years, combining my technical expertise with a passion for education and innovation. Since 2018, I’ve served as a guest assistant at the School of Tourism and Maritime Technology (ESTM) of the Polytechnic University of Leiria, where I lecture in various undergraduate and short-cycle programs. My teaching spans subjects such as Computer Science, Statistics, and Applied Mathematics, and I’ve also supervised academic internships.

At IADE – Faculty of Design, Technology and Communication of the European University, I’ve been a lecturer since 2018 and currently coordinate the Post-Graduation in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. I’ve also contributed to the design and delivery of advanced programs in Web and Mobile Development, both in-person and online.

My academic journey is supported by ongoing studies, where I’m currently pursuing a PhD in Web Science and Technology at UTAD and a Master’s in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence at Liverpool John Moores University.

I hold a specialist title in Computer Sciences and have completed postgraduate studies in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence with a specialization in Deep Learning.

In terms of research, I collaborate with the MARE research center at the Polytechnic of Leiria, focusing on interdisciplinary applications of technology. I’ve also contributed to the development of new academic programs, such as the proposed Degree in Bioinformatics, and participated in organizing scientific events like the Bioinformatics Workshop.

My academic contributions extend to international teaching experiences, including lecturing at the University of Santiago in Cape Verde. I regularly present at conferences and seminars, sharing insights on topics such as artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and data science.
