Banco Alimentar Contra a Fome is a national organization dedicated to fighting hunger and food waste by collecting, organizing, and distributing food to families in need. Their mission relies heavily on volunteers, and in Lourinhã the spirit of solidarity is especially strong.
Helping with food collection campaigns, sorting donations, and preparing baskets for local families has shown me how even small actions can make a real difference. Volunteering here is not only about giving time — it’s about being part of a network of people who care, who act, and who believe that no one should go without a meal
